Good Evening Boys,
What a Great day we had today. Your mom and dad took the day off and we drove up to Battle Creek to the Binder Park zoo boo and we stopped at Turkeyville for dinner before. You boys get so excited it's worth every moment.
Joey you started the day in preschool where mommy got to come join you for a story, songs and vegetable soup. You get so excited when you see me -it makes my heart sing and I hope you always get that excited when I walk in the door. You wanted to run over to me and sit with me, you were so happy you didn't even want to sing the songs. I cherish these moments, I hope I can always be a part of your days at school. Ms. Karol says you are doing so well and you are very polite. Your mom and dad already know that though.
Noah is so proud if you as his Big Brother, he told everyone in child center that his brother joey was making "basketball" (vegetable) soup. He was so proud, we had to scrape the bowl so he could share in your creation.
After preschool we came home and took a quick nap before we ventured on our road trip to battle creek. Your dad and I thought it would be fun to stop at turkeyville to see the colors, take some pictures and have dinner before the zoo. You boys didn't think this was a great idea because you were more interested in the "Great oo Boo" and Joey reminded us regularly that he does not like Turkey. Dispite your initial reisitance, you did end having a GREAT time. We took some great pictures and you ate Turkey (because we told you it was chicken.) and you were able to play for a few minutes on their tractor playground.
Shortly thereafter we arrived at the zoo boo and you were both squeling with joy as we saw the signs. I am smiling from ear to ear as a write this because it brings me such joy to see you boys so excited. We went trick or treating, went on the haunted train (Joey you kept mommy and daddy safe), rode the carousel and saw a pirate show that neither of you were interested in. Now although you had fun, you both don't do well waiting and I thought I was going to loose my mind with as much as you whined to be picked up, eat candy....
The zoo was amazingly beautiful and just fun to look at. Joey you stuck up for Noah today in a brave manner. Daddy got mad at Noah and you said very firmly "Dad, don't talk to my little brother Noah like that--he is a good boy and you were mean to him." I was impressed and daddy didn't know what to say. You also were very concerned when Noah was tired on the way home and was crying. You said "Mommy lets sing some songs for Noah" and when he stopped crying, you shouted with glee "Mommy its working, he stopped crying!"
Noah you are talking up a storm, you want so badly to be a "big boy" sometimes you act older then Joe. You are very willing to do anything and try new things. Not much bothers you at all. We really need to work on the potty training--but you have the cuttest little voice I have ever hear, I want it to stay like this forever.
Important notes:
Joey was a storm trooper from Star Wars and Noah was a pirate.
We are getting ready to move in a week to a new house where you will share the coolest fire truck bunk bed.
We tought Joey to say "crap" instead of "fuck"--mommy and daddy are getting much better. I'm sorry we haven't been the best influence in this matter.
Bed time routine:
each pick 1 book, we sing: You are my sunchine, ship in the water, jesus loves me, twinkle twinke, ABC's and Goodnight, we give a kiss, hug, fist bump and high 5 (Noah will not go to bed until this is done multiple times)
Joey goes to bed with his compfy polka dot blanket and Noah has his favorite stuff dog Sammy with his green blanket.
Please know I love you more than words could ever say. I think of you both all the time when I am not home and I enjoy nothing more then watching you have fun, smilling and laughing. I know many moms would say the same--but I can not imagine my life without you both. Each of you with your own personalities make my like complete. Thanks boys for being the BEST sons a mom could ever ask for.
LOVE YOU INFINITY!!!!

Sweet Boys!
March 12, 2009
I am lieing in bed as I just had surgery on my left knee. Yet another ACL tear, I have concluded I must be prone to surgery--and I don't like it.
Anyway I have been able to spend some extra time with the boys that I don't normally have and I have also had the oppertunity to think and reflect each day, which is definately something I don't take the time to do and I should.
Joey you are such a sweet, smart and mature 3 yr old. Everyday you amze me with the things you say and remember. You understand completely, that your mom had surgery to make her knee better and it hurts her very bad. You know which knee is the good knee and hich one is not and you know that I need to pick you up or put you down that you can't climb on me. You tell anyone who calls or comes over the whole story so they know as well. You have been "mommy's big helper" trying to help daddy and play with Noah. The cutest thing is when you see me in the morning or come in my room in the afternoon and you say "mommy how are doing, hows your knee feeling?"Or when I walk with my crutches and you say"good job mommy, your doing it, your walking." You get so excited, you are actually very motivating. Sometimes I forget you are 3. I am also very pleased to say that you are FINALLY sleeping and napping in you big boy bed and you are doing great!!! Daddy started this one evening that mommy wasn't home about a month a go and since then you have done FANTASTIC. Although it is nice having my space in bed back, I must say I miss you waking me up in the morning and us "cuddleing" and talking before brother Noah gets up. Now my dear Jo Jo the last thing left for us to work on is your going potty --I am trying to be patient. We have tried everything, being nice and firm. We have triend putting you in underwear and just having you walk around naked, but nothing is working. You could care less, the hardest part is you know how and you just don't want to. Either way your mom and dad love you--mommy loves you the "mostest"!!!!! One more cute story---Yesterday our backyard flooded and our basement was leaking. Your dad was pretty worried about it and because I couldn't walk downstairs since the surgery daddy was showing me what the backyard looked like out of Noah's window. Daddy and I were discussing what to do and you came in and wanted to see. So we showed you the yard and you said "HMMM-who can we get to fix this? pause.....I know mommy Handy Manny (tv cartoon character) can come fix it, he fixes everything." How smart are you... then you went and got the phone and handed it to me to call him. I pretended to call him and told you he was busy and couldn't come over. All day you told everyone the Handy Manny was busy and couldn't come over. What smiles you bring :)
My Dear Noah--
You have your mommy's personality. Nothing seems to bother you, you are tough but so sweet. Since Mommy had surgery, everytime you see me the words that come out of your mouth are--"boo boo, ooch!" and you point to my leg and you pucker up and pretend to kiss it, although you don't kiss it you just kiss in the middle of nowehere and you keep kissing until I say thanks Noah its all better. It is so cute, I hope I never loose that image. You walk around everywhere like you "own it" saying hi to everyone. You talk very well, and in pretty complete sentences for age 2. You will be 2 in less then 2 weeks, my baby isn't such a baby anymore. You actually do pretty good on the potty, almost better then big brother--although we don't really press you. You walk around the house saying "I pooped" a lot and then we ask you if you did and you say---"Noooo". You are still in your crib and have always done good at night but never really napped in your crib until about 3 weeks ago. I must say I enjoy having you in your crib for nap, so I am able to move around and get some things done instead of having to hold you. I know we probably spoiled you--but you wouldn't nap in less we held you and you needed a nap. You are not much of a napper, only about an hour. You keep up very well with big brother, there is not one thing you have in interest in like Joey always had. You love balls, balloons and bubbles and you do Like Bob the builder and Barney but you don't ask for them all the time, like Joey did about thomas or cars... Your too busy for tv. You have the cutest curly hair (although not much of it) and you still have the baby face I love so much!!! I can't believe you will be 2!!! I am looking forward to your party, Im sorry I am delaying it 2 weeks, but I figure you will not know and I will be able to make it nicer for you as I will walking around much better then.
I guess thats enough boasting about my boys for today! But please know no matter what Mommy loves you the MOSTEST and I ALWAYS will.
love you now and forever!
